Ann Hunsberger is an artist living and working in Kitchener, ON. She resides with several creatures: Johnnie Ramone, Frankie, and Jiggles, not to mention a husband and two sons.

She has been painting for 30 odd years, interdispersed with intensive bouts of child rearing.

Ann is largely self-taught, with the notable exception of several years of tutoring by the wonderful artist Michal Manson and a stint at the University of Waterloo's independent studies program with an emphasis on art.

Her style, primitive in nature, is executed in acrylics and India ink. The humorous content masks darker realities, and can be described as an "adult narrative" (though children like them too).

Over the years Ann has had several solo shows as well as many others as a member of the now defunct Phoenix Artists Co-operative.

She received an Ontario arts grant in 1974, and has been represented by Iris Whitham, formerly of Middle Earth studio in London, Ontario, since 1982. Her work has appeared as illustrations for "Playboar" and Hysteria magazines as well as gracing the cover of "Liars and Rascals: A Book of Mennonite Short Stories". Her work can be found in private collections in Canada, the U.S.A., and the Caribbean.
